Finally caught up, what a great fucking ending. I’m gonna miss this show.

Sounds like he's still basically playing the same character but I have absolutely no problem with that lol, and John Goodman is a fantastic addition to the fold

I hope McBride/Hill never stop these shows

 

Probably in the minority here, but I enjoyed Vice Principals way more than EBAD

 

The first season of Eastbound and down is perfection.

Other than that, VP is probably better. Largely because of Goggins

 

Oh man I started this a few days ago and finished it last night, what a wild ride! I watched it right after watching EB&D for the first time and for me this was so much better, though I love both shows for sure.

 

Damn I'm gonna have to do rewatches of both Eastbound and this show before the new show by them, it's been way too long

 

When is The Righteous Gemstones coming out!? I needs it.

Just started this show and it's fantastic.

 

Barely gonna give this show a watch, excited!

 

It’s good shit

 

It isn't that different than the scheming that goes on in real schools.

 

VP was alright. Doesn’t hold a candle to TRG though.

 

Huge McBride fan since Pineapple Express and obsessed over Eastbound & Down. Watched VP every Sunday when it premiered and thought it was good, definitely not Kenny Powers territory though. Now with Gemstones on I found myself re watching all of Vice Principals again and enjoying it more than the first time. Maybe cause I can binge watch the series and not drag it out over 2 summers.

 

I love this show. Gemstones and Eastbound are both great. It's hard for me to pick a favorite.

 

Yeah I thought VP was a lot funnier than Gemstones has been so far. But I'm also a teacher so

 

Eastonbound and Down by a mile and then probably VP then Gemstones. But there are a few gemstone episodes that are better than the entire VP series. if that makes sense.

 

Yeah Gemstones as a story has actually been well written and compelling TBH, even though it hasn't been as funny.
