oh man, I totally forgot Patton and JK Simmons were in this~!!!

 

I was wondering when season 4 would drop but I never thought to check to see if there was a thread on here until now haha

 

This is gonna rule. Is there a list of confirmed cast members coming back?

 

Only bigger ones I haven't seen confirmed are Tina Majorino (Mac) and Chris Lowell (Piz).

 

I think after the movie Chris Lowell not coming back makes sense, but no Mac is a major bummer

 

Especially since she's canonical throughout the books, which are an extension of the movie.

 

Totally forgot about that. I’m gonna have to dig out my books and read them as part of my refresh because I don’t remember them at all.

 

I forgot Jessica Chastain was in an episode in season one

 

Going back through it's kinda crazy the amount of big name celebrity cameos they were able to do at the time.

 

Seasons 1-3 on Hulu July 1st, rob and the cast are interested in doing more. Saw about five minutes of footage and will spoiler tag thoughts later.

 

Curious to know if this gets picked up anywhere internationally. Hulu is still only available in the US(and Japan oddly) but it already has an established fanbase compared to other Hulu shows. Regardless I will torrent if necessary.

 

Here are some more specifics:

- Hulu asked them to tone it down from TV MA to 14 So that fans can watch across all four seasons, but they took it in stride and just got rid of a bunch of “fucks.” The humor still seems grown up as advertised

- other characters will get to interact a little more outside of the context of Veronica this time

- rob based the bomb plot from the trailer on the Austin bomb scare that was happening at the time since he lives here.

About the footage:

We were shown some Keith / Veronica banter at Mars investigation and what seemed to be veronica’s Reunion with Logan from one of his deployments at the beach. Both scenes were comedic in nature. The banter felt like what was promised: classic Mars but updated and a little edgier.

None of this stuff is super spoilery (nothing plot related and the scenes were self contained) but wanted to make sure to keep it tagged in case anyone wants to avoid it at all costs

 

What about Tina Majorino though?

 

I’m gonna miss Piz if he’s not in this....

 

Rob confirmed he is not in this, but his name gets mentioned once or twice.

Nothing was said about Tina and I think there was kind of an understanding between the audience and the panelists that she just isn’t in it, but maybe we’ll be surprised and I just read it wrong.

 

Maybe she gets killed in the first bomb attack and they are keeping it quiet as not to spoil the plot?

 

Rob confirmed Mac won't be back for this season

I plan to start a rewatch on Monday to get ready for Season 4 if anybody else is interested

 

I’ll also be starting a rewatch. Wish they gave us more time because 64 episodes + a movie in 20ish days is gonna be tough

 

Agreed but 3-4 episodes a day seems fairly doable
