This doesn't really belong here either, but whatever.

Every year around this time I feel pulled between the highest extent of my happiness and the lowest lows of my depression. I very much enjoy the holidays and being around family and it's a big birthday month. Mine is actually this Sunday, but as usual I don't really care and have nothing planned.

 

Early Happy Birthday! That's my girl's bday as well lol.

I know exactly this feeling well for my own reasons in life. It's a bummer because it really dampers things that you try to enjoy. I hope you find a way to lean more towards the highs than lows though, man.

 

I dislike the main people that work the first shift at my job. They are lazy, never do anything (like restock supplies in rooms, do laundry, trash...). The sad thing is they get away with it and the supervisor makes excuses for them. They also will try to leave early and leave me to answer their call lights. It's like lol no you're still on shift, go answer it instead of waiting for me to get to work and clock on then trying to hunt me down and make me answer it. They literally wait for me. I feel like I can't be late because 5 minutes after my "shift time" they'll try to radio for me -.- I can never do my clock in duties becuse of these people. Then because we're always behind I'm forced to stay late. It's not right. Then if third shift doesn't do something or someone on my shift doesn't do it first shift automatically thinks it's me. No hesitation. Like they expect me to hold everyone's hand babysit to make sure things were done correctly. Also first shift rarely charts so I know nothing about what happened during the day. Half the time it's important information. I can't stand how things are being ran. Still looking for a different job

 

I thought I was doing better so I didn't take nyquil but now I can't sleep cause I can't stop coughing but it's too late to take one now.

 

I got called a piece of shit because I sent a co worker (who should be helping anyway but doesn't) to check on a couple of people before night shift comes in. I did that because I'm suppose to be off the clock and I've been there all day, and the other person I was working with was answering call lights. The person I was working with was livid at them calling me that and went off on them. Apparently this night shift person doesn't think i do anything but little do they know we're always busy and understaffed in the evening. As much as I can't stand the main day shift workers, I would NEVER call them a piece of shift. Wrong move calling me that because now I will be not nice.

 

Newer coworkers are blowing off duties because they have other responsibilities in their lives so it's getting put on the rest of us. like you think I don't have better things to do either??? there are some circumstances where staying late or coming early is legit part of the job and they're just like nope sorry got other things to do, and it falls on us. like screw you. if you don't wanna do it then find another job or flex your time and give those hours back but it's bs that some of us are doing it and others arent. grr.

 

I can't do both =(.

I try to but I end up not listening like I need and miss parts of the conversation or making mistakes in my work.

 

I hate when people make plans and when the time comes they just ghost. Just hit me up and say you can't make it, I'm not gunna chew you out.... If anything I'll appreciate you for not making me think I have to keep compensating for the time I put aside for you that day and use it elsewhere?!
Also my friend; a mechanic, has been asked about a receipt for a engine job he did on my Mom's car 2 years ago and last year or earlier this year her car engine was recalled. She stands to possible get 2,200$ back and he just refuses to make up this receipt, almost like he's afraid of doing it and it's really confusing and frustrating. I see my family struggling a bit atm; ESPECIALLY with the Holiday season upon us and he just continues to hold that up. Gunna have to cut him off for good.

 

I'm a retail salesperson/buys and loans operator (pawnbroking), and we have a jewellery consultant. Let's call her Cindy. Cindy is fairly new to the company, but she missed the entire interview process because she's connected to the International Business Development Manager so he basically told my manager that she was the new employee, that my manager had no choice.

Cindy is cantankerous. She doesn't want to sell watches, or buy them off customers and will say something is fake (I can test things if I really need to) even if it is real, if she doesn't want it. She will also low ball customers almost insultingly so, to try to get a good gross profit on all of her sales. She talks down to everyone, and gives everyone the cold shoulder except for the two managers.

The way she talks to customers is also a worry. Cindy will talk down the customers as soon as she feels they are wasting her time, and she will tell people that she is the store manager, which is outright wrong.

Almost every employee has complained about her to my manager, and my manager can't do anything, because when she acted the first time, my manager's boss basically said "too bad, deal with it."

We have a webstore administrator, let's call her Alexandra. Alexandra has to put up a certain amount of items based on the companies policy for each store, so she will go out and pick out noteworthy items which she thinks will either draw people to buy online, or come into the store for a closer look. Cindy won't let Alexandra take any of the new Jewellery items, and sometimes this will even erupt into arguments in front of the customers, it's not a good look, but my manager has to turn a blind eye to it, because she can't do anything to stop it.

It's unfair and creating a hostile workplace.

is the charger all the way in? This has happened to me before.

 

hopefully the charger just broke, that's way easier to fix

 

idk the red light is on that means it's charging and the lightning bolt and the charger has a flashlight on it and that works too. Maybe it's losing power and can't charge as fast as I was using the power??? idk I switched to my laptop to let it charge and chill so we'll see. Usually it charges really quickly!

edit: ok it's working now I guess I just angered it!

 

I just can't catch a break.

 

We ordered pizza just to be nice cause it was a snow day at work and freezing and dangerous so we were like hey let's do something fun and get ppl lunch and we can all pitch in a few bucks. We asked literally everyone if there were any toppings they wouldn't eat or hated and everyone said no. We get the pizzas and then ppl from this other department come and are like "ew there's olives on all these pizzas." Their boss shows them a pizza without olives and they're like "um I don't even know what's on that pizza" even tho none of the toppings were out there?? And then they said "at least I save some money" and left without pitching in or just hanging out. Like wtf how rude?? I don't like olives either but I ate the one without it or I'd pick them off if there wasn't one without it. It's just annoying because WE ASKED! I was the only one who said I didn't like olives! Last year that department unprofessionally called us out in front of other departments and said we're snooty, yet we try to do a fun team building kinda thing and they're rude about it like who is snooty for real??!

all olives are great. especially when they are stuffed with blue cheese. then stuffed into an ice cold glass full of gin or vodka.

Olives are just like balls of salt to me and I hate salt in large amounts.

 

The point of olives is to stick them on my sandwich with toothpicks so it looks like it has eyes.
