Kindly remind him you're not the "person he knows" and you could very well be a ton better at this stuff than that person. My family is pretty bad at this kind of stuff too. I would've loved to have gone to school for journalism but my parents basically told me that was a worthless degree and didn't want to help pay for me to go to school to pursue it. They now justify that decision by saying my cousin's husband went to school for journalism and didn't end up being a writer.

Honestly even if you made it out of school and didn't get into the job you thought you would it'd be more satisfying to you tried than it would be to do something you don't care about and wonder "what if?"

 

Even when I'm not at work I'm at work. Just talked to a coworker on the phone trying to help her not have a complete meltdown. It's a full moon so she should have known it was gonna be hectic and crazy tonight.

 

When customers think they know more than you and try to tell you what's "right". Um okay...no. I practically live here. I was tranined by a manager who did everything "by the book". Just stop.

 

I think my mom changed the xfinity online password Now how am I gonna catch up on my tv shows

I'm so isolated and lonely. It's been like this for 2 years. I want to get a new job in a new city to kind of start over but getting a decent job these days is so difficult. I have a degree and work experience but I still can't get any interviews. It sucks.

 

Move to Seattle and I will be ur friend. This is not sarcasm. Amazon is hiring a shit load of people.

 

This person very well saw me backing out of my space and still decided to go then have the nerve to honk at me. Sometimes I think people purposely put themselves in situations to get themselves into an accident and collect insurance money

 

I hate not knowing what happened to my two cats. They were both outside as usual on Saturday and 20 minutes later completely gone. Still hoping they come home.

Friend tagged me in this fb event and ask if I was going. I said no and she was all "why not it's gonna be 100 and I don't want to go hiking in the heat , we need to be in the water" and capitalized "need" like it was so important.

I was kinda pissed off because I've been wanting to leave town for the longest time but she ALWAYS makes excuses to not want to leave town. Part of me think she just doesn't want to drive or will want more than enough gas money (as always. She always wants more than what is reasonable. Like I'm not paying for your tank of gas, I'll give some money...). Anyway I told her that in town it will be that hot but I don't want to hike "in town" (no where to hike anyhow). She's always tagging me in things that require leaving town (like bucket list stuff) but she never wants to even tho she says she's down!! I don't understand it

 

My face toner spilled in my bag and I'm upset cause I love it and I order it online so I can't just pick up more and my sister was like "I think you'll live" and I hate it when I'm annoyed and someone says that. Like yes I know but I'm still irritated and u suck. My skin is super important to me and when it breaks out it crushes my self esteem so let me vent without that 'you'll live' nonsense!!

I don't understand customers who think it's okay to talk down on food service workers like we're shit. It's not easy dealing with rude as fuck people such as themselves.

Today at work this guy comes in with his teenage daughter. They BOTH were really rude. He asked for this one size and I explained to him what it was and he was all "I know what it is I've been in before" in a rude tone. Like fucking chill, there are people who've been in before who are mistaken on what the item actually is. Then they both have the nerve to be picky as fuck and be like "put more around the edges". What these trump supporters don't understand is that their toppings will fall off when they go in the oven and I will make sure it happens. So I tossed their pizza in the oven and saw the topping fly off (laughs inside) it ended up falling apart so my co worker remade it and cooked it...

I don't get paid nearly enough to deal with y'all rude ass. If you're rude to me I hope to god your pizza gets messed up so I can remake it and have it look like shit.

Upside I love the nice regular customers that come in.

 

I've been with my mom all weekend so this is the mom edition:

-the sound of her flip flops flopping all day get on my nerves. I realize this is that bitch eating crackers territory.

-she is a food moocher and it drives me crazy. Idk why cause it's not a huge deal but it strikes a nerve. She has to try a bite of what everyone else is eating even if she's not hungry. Idgi. I'll ask for a bite if it looks amazing or I've always wanted to try it, but she does it with everything. I could be eating dirt and twigs and she'd ask for just one bite. Worst is when she asks for a bite then criticizes it. well it's not for you anyway!!!

 

I'm about to go off, so uhh prepare lol.

I help organize a charity slow pitch baseball event every year in the name of Memorial Sloan Kettering Center. We've been running it for four years now and the past two years we've had issues with one specific team. The captain of their team is a cancer survivor and last year he raised a lot of money so any issues we had last year we put aside and said don't let it happen again. Today was a disaster. The team was cursing out others, flipping out when the call didn't go their way, and actually tried to start a fight. They didn't understand the format of the tournament, so when we told them they were playing the third place game they just decided they didn't give a shit and left after four innings. After the event, the captain went up to my friend who runs the thing and basically accused him of rigging the tournament, and the team as a whole just started cursing us out. Someone actually said that we shouldn't run it in the name of MSKC anymore because "its offensive." We fought back telling them the details they clearly didn't understand and left. Day two is tomorrow and we literally have no idea if they are going to show up tomorrow and quite frankly if they do, I'd rather just give them refunds so we don't have to deal with them. We've already told them they weren't invited back next year.

Omg my mom did the food moocher thing but it was a big bowl of salad meant for everyone at the table at a wedding and she hadn't even sat down yet when she reached in and grabbed it with her hands to eat like no gross that's meant for multiple ppl and it wasn't even time to eat yet have some chill

Also she's super drunk and she gets so annoying when she's drunk. She's not a fun drunk she's a ditzy drunk u have to take care of.

One more day. Just one more day lol. I know i sound mean but we have a history lol

I have been complaining to my landlord about how outrageous my electricity bill has been. You can feel that the windows aren't sealed tight enough so my AC runs all day.

I went past him and talked to the owner of the rental place and he had window guys come over and check them out. In a few weeks they're replacing all of them bc they're so old they're not doing their job anymore.

My bill will drop significantly. I'm gonna try to use some vacation time and go stay with my sister so I don't have to be there while they're doing it.

 

There's this dude I work with who is the biggest brat I've ever met. He only has the job because his father does restaurant reviews for the local paper and is friends with the CEO. He's a bartender and we weren't busy at all today yet drinks were taking fucking forever. Basically he's just a nightmare to work with.
