This movie is a turd in the wind

 

So many mixed emotions

 

I like how people are saying they found it funny but they weren't sure if they were meant to.

 

Glad to hear that Hardy shines through this. I might try to watch it during matinee hours.

 

Was honestly expecting a Fant4stic-level disaster at this point so I’m glad to hear there’s at least a few redeeming elements

 

Disappointing (though unsurprising) reactions, but I still think I'm gonna enjoy this, lol.

 

Even though it seems meh I'm still watching it opening night. I've been waiting years for a Venom film.

 

Yeah I've always had plans to see it regardless. Disappointing hearing it feels like a superhero film made in 2004 haha

 

Did that say that Eddie and Venom make out?

 

Sounds like I will be saving my money here.

 

It’s Sony so I’m not surprised. Making good comic book films isn’t in their interest, only making money off of them is.

 

I'm just hoping by "2004" people don't mean this is like Affleck's Daredevil from '03 lol

 

Most of those tweets seem to be on the "it was an enjoyable experience" side, and honestly I wasn't expecting more. If the MCU had a go at it, it be more upset I think.

haha yeah it was sarcasm. I haven't been excited for Venom but there is no way it is on the level of Hulk or Catwoman, which were abominations.

Dare Devil was no where near as bad as those movies either lol.

 

All I remember is that Catwoman and Daredevil both have notoriously cringey playground scenes.

 

Superheroes on playgrounds was a huge early 2000's fad. I hope they bring it back in Avengers 4. The final showdown with Thanos while waiting in line for the swings.

 

Hulk is 1000% better than Catwoman and Daredevil
