'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Trailer Beats 'Avengers: Endgame' Record - Variety Buried pretty deep in the article but... “Sony recently pushed its other upcoming comic book feature, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” from September to October (although a studio insider says rumors the film will move further to 2022 are not true)”
I’d love to see if Covid actually changed any blockbuster film’s budget. Constantly juggling release dates just to try and recoup your money doesn’t seem like it’s sustainable when you have to repeatedly start and stop marketing.
that's at least 20 minutes shorter than the first one. then again, the credits for the first one felt at least 15 minutes long WITHOUT the carnage/spider-verse stingers
Cinemark has it listed as 1:35. Pretty wild, but I’ve been a proponent for these things being shorter for a while. Does every superhero film really need to be two and a half hours? So honestly, that just makes me more excited. Just get in, let there be carnage, and get out, y’know?
I’m not expecting this to be anything more than a “transformers” style marvel film in terms of story writing and action scenes so I don’t mind it only being 90 minutes. Just give me one fight between Venom and Carnage where I can visually understand what is happening on screen and I’ll be satisfied.
God, I wish. The way I see it, the longer they are, the less I have to think about the shitty real world.
It’s ridiculous how flawlessly they captured the whole look and feel of Carnage. I mostly dig Venom’s look, but when I see it as a still image out of context, the lack of white on the torso and hands bums me out. The choices they made, though, set them up perfectly to nail Carnage (who, let’s be real, is driven by design a lot more than characterization, lol). His look is so muscular, burnt-but-slimy, wiry, and sharp. The shape, color pallet, and movement is all spot on. Everything I love about a good Mark Bagley or Mike Perkins illustration has been brought to life. And, the last time a Bagley design came to life was in those ASM films that I stan more than they deserve, so y’all know how I feel about that look. I’ve got a few other October releases I wanna see, finite disposable income, and obviously a pandemic. But, if this is at least roughly the quality of the first one, I could very well end up seeing it multiple times on the big screen.
Apparently Sony is already airing this to some public viewers in the UK or something? I read a rumor about the mid credits scene (not sure if it's real): Tom Holland's Spider-Man shows up on TV, and Venom says "I hate that guy" and starts licking the screen aggressively.
The audio from the end credits leaked which confirms it. Hardy’s Venom is the Venom MCU and will come in contact with Holland’s Spider-Man. https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/comments/poqavq/venom_2_end_credits_leaked_audio/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
