The seamless transitions between tracks really add to the experience and the overall darker vibe of the album.
At some point in this video you can hear one of the band members offering to pay for the broken mic stand, which is curiously omitted from the original story. While I don’t have any doubt that the bands are the assholes in the situation, there’s something about this situation that doesn’t pass the smell test. Just a bummer of a situation all around.
Breaking a mic stand is not a big deal in itself but if there was unnecessary violence then that is a whole different story.
We don’t know who escalated the violence first - from the momentum guy’s account he’s claiming the crew or whomever at that venue escalated it
This goes hard! What's the song they play live where they sample "the party never stops"? was hoping it was going to be on here, figured it would be Orgy In The Morgue
I mean at the end of day does it matter? Violence = not good. These are supposedly grown adults we are talking about.
Sure we can say that all day and while I agree with you I don’t know how I’m reacting in a situation if someone threatens to pull a gun on me or my friends
Considering some of the shit that has happened in hardcore historically, this is just another blip on the radar unless there was unnecessary violence. Beyond that, my unnecessary opinion doesn't contribute much. Will listen to the album when I get a chance and am not dealing with a four day old.
even if the crew was aggressive first, pulling the tool out is definitely what escalated it. no question.
I’m just not gonna make any judgment until I get the full picture - if we even get that. Vein guys could have already agreed to replace the equipment and perhaps the other people who got mad weren’t aware of that. Who knows - messy situation
For sure but also seems like the momentum guy was calling those guys bluff since (according to his account) those guys imitated like they were gonna pull out a gun
weren’t the people initially responding about this just fans at the show and not people of the venue? i don’t see any reason to not believe members of the local scene.
so because he wasn’t faking it’s okay? why bring a gun to a show you’re performing in in the first place? it still is a bad vibe that needs to leave the scene that they’re encouraging, regardless of whether they were the aggressors or the escalators
I just hit play on this album and I'm ready for my face to be shredded off. But y i k e s @ everything and now it makes my brother's "gofundme micstand" make more sense this morning.
Yeah, fuck the other band for sure. But fuck Vein for breaking a mic stand? I’d really like to know what all Vein is responsible for at this point since details keep changing.
I think I will shelve this album for the time being until the details (hopefully) reveal themselves. I wonder if this changes anything for their upcoming tour with Touche...
I listened to it this morning but this news tainted my experience for now. I’ll engage more once we find out more information. Disappointing all around.
