Love the sound of that but I feel like 1:30 was way too short. I thought it was going into a bridge around the minute mark but it just ends
Oh yeah we are loving it in this thread: Fleshwater - We’re Not Here To Be Loved (November 4, 2022) • Page 2 • forum.chorus.fm
Damn major fomo for missing For The Children. Also major bummer the DJ doesn't seem to be in the band anymore?
Big bummer if true but he was criminally underutilized on their new record (It’s actually my only grip with This World..) anyways so it kind of makes sense.
Gotta say I ended up liking Errorzone and the new Fleshwater record more than The World Is... Show still looks like it was a fun time based on that video.
Oh, I don’t think it’s as good as a whole as Errorzone (I never listen to the opener or closer) but I still really like it. I was secretly hoping they would incorporate more electronics. Bummer about the DJ not being in the band anymore but Anthony and Matt both make electronic music on the side so I don’t think that aspect of their sound is going to get phased out.
This album is def my least favorite of the three between Errorzone and the Fleshwater album but the gap is closing every day, I've been listening to it a ton recently. Once you get enough reps in to unpack how dense the songs are you can really lock in with how relentless it is
I love Errorzone but I think This World may beat it for me personally. I will say that the flow of the record is hurt by having Wavery and Funeral Sound as the final two tracks. Placing Wavery a little earlier would have made it stronger as a whole.
