This situation sucks. Not saying it’s right to carry heat to a show but I do understand the need for touring musicians & crew to be protected (dunno if a gun is the way but it’s the reality here) - as much as we’ve normalized it there’s really nothing safe about getting in a van with 4-5 people and driving across the country for like a month or whatever. And if there’s any time to flash it, being verbally threatened with one seems like the time. Thankful the dude kept cool enough to not use it, but the fact that it got to that point alone shows severe irresponsibility on both sides. It’s sketchy stuff and leaves a bad taste in my mouth But jumping a teen/hitting a woman? Can’t give that a “shit happens” pass. Need to hear Koyo and Vein speak up on this one to see where they stand. If that stuff is true and they remain silent or back it then I do not fuck with them
again, if you're expecting them to give a statement over speculation from locals they were beefing with then I have a bridge to sell you If someone comes forward and personally says “I was harmed by this band” that’s obviously completely fucked but if it’s exclusively local third parties who are willing to exaggerate about the band “destroying equipment” (see: a mic stand that dude can be heard on camera saying that he would reimburse them for) it’s not unreasonable to me to think that they would exaggerate other shit to make them look bad. If it makes me a horrible person to think that then whatever. Pretty clear either way that this was instigated and escalated by toxic macho stupidity and grown adults just not acting like grown adults, which at the end of the day is just fucking lame
Hitting a 17 year old girl is fucked but idk if that’s been confirmed? Otherwise we have a a mic stand broken and some parking lot beef which sounds like a Thursday night at your local DIY venue.
Yes I get what you’re saying but there is no world where being accused of hitting a woman/jumping teenagers or being complicit in either scenario doesn’t require some kind of acknowledgement. If they aren’t willing to provide their perspective as the artists we’re supposed to be supporting so that we can make our own decision about whether or not to support them then that’s fine and I simply will not anymore
So far it Seems like there is a lot of exaggeration going on… Also sounds like Momentum might be the one mostly involved? Their vocalist claimed someone threatened Vein with a gun which led to the Momentum vocalist bringing his out.
yeah had never heard of them before last night but absolutely do not fuck with Momentum under any circumstances
And people in here want to talk about others over exaggerating the situation Fuck this shitty meathead scene to hell
Lol this sounds like Momentum trying to capitalize on fucking around and finding out, no thank you to that band.
I am truly just not interested in picking fights online with people in regard to a situation like this. Just don’t tell people they are exaggerating about a situation involving gun violence when this country continues to have a significant issue with it and doesn’t actually take any steps toward solving it
Tom will say we dont know the full story so its none of his business, Patrick will yearn for the day beef was settled in the parking lot and not on twitter, and Bob will just ask everyone to chill out.
The gun situation is shitty especially for that other band who made the shirt (fuck that) but I would like to know whether Vein and Koyo actually hit a woman because that is unacceptable.
