I don't know why it cracked me up so much but I fuckin loved when Selina and Minna were comparing someone to Darcy and Bingley and Mike just goes "I love Mary Poppins"

 

Everything about Jonah's campaign was perfect.

 

Incredible episode. Bursted out laughing maybe more times than in any other one. The Finnish PM is great

 

is this really that good? i always kinda wrote it off but considering giving it a go now that i finished parks and rec.

 

It is. Fills the parks and rec void very well.

 

i mean they're drastically different shows, haha
amazing though

 

i mostly meant in the sense of them both being comedies with short episodes that you can binge through easily.

 

It's absolutely that good. And it does a great job showing how awful people in politics/government can be, so it's a good counterbalance to Parks and Rec.

 

Jonah continues to just kill it this season.

This episode was fantastic. My favorite of the season.

 

Did a legit spit take at that clip of Catherine's...performance(?)

 

Fucking amazing episode. Mike's transformation of his house was incredible. This is contending with season 7 of Curb for my favorite comedy season of all time.

 

Catherine crying always makes me laugh. That short clip of her talking to the camera saying "we had a fight" fucking killed me.

I'm a terrible person.

 

Has it been said in here before that Catherine is like the logical comedic next step from Anne on AD? Because that's how I've always seen her

 

Also, why are there only 50 votes in the House vote? They've been trying to go after individual reps this whole time, but why would only those specific reps be allowed to vote for the entire state?

 

States vote as a bloc in that situation.

The show is usually so good about getting the details right, but Tom James could not be President for 12 years. There is no such thing as an "ascended" President. You can only serve more than eight years if you take over a term with less than twelve years remaining.

 

Yeah, but then why did they need all of these specific people to vote? Why would Jonah, of all people, be the one chosen to place NH's vote, even if he was there on time? He had been a rep for a matter of days

 

presumably because it would be a tie between obrien and meyer without him, resulting in an abstention? best i can think of. and the other major reps probably wield informal influence over their delegation
