Modern Vampires was incredible. I mean, all their albums are incredible. They're one of the few bands (Arcade Fire also come to mind) that perfectly straddle the line between mainstream, critical and indie success at the same time.
Last I heard, he was still working on the record with them in some way, or at least still collaborating w/ Ezra, so we'll see what comes of that. Hopefully we get the new one this year
Their entire discography is great to me. Modern Vampires of the City being my favorite. Can't wait to see what they do next.
Same here. Every song on the album is such a jam. Fell asleep to the closer a few weeks ago and it was legit perfect. Totally agree. Heard Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa and haven't looked back. Love this post and your name too
I wouldn't be mad if I never had to hear Ya Hey again, song frustrates and bugs me so much. As a band though, still excited for what's next. Worried with the loss of Rostam, hope he still is involved one way or another
Just realized this thread was here. I love everything they've done, but MVotC is one of my 5 favorite albums of this decade.
Hannah Hunt is a perfect song. EDIT: I just realized I've already posted this exact same thing. Guess I really mean it haha.
