Blew through the entire discog on a flight and it was euphoric lol. Man I love this band so much. I think they have a spot in my top 5 of all time. 0 skippers. FOTB really stuck out. Drum parts and sounds on that one are wild. It’s a mood record for me and I was definitely in the mood. I feel like ranking this catalogue would be really hard.

all of them sort of are, but FOTB is the most egregious contender for just being a Paul Simon album in disguise. good album though

I feel like the first album easily takes that title

FotB such a wonderful record and the tour was incredible. The first two records have better edited tracklists but pound for pound my favorite era of the band is FotB for sure.

approx. 3rd coolest Steve on here Supporter

I’m also inclined to put FOTB at 1 with the first 2 just below, then vampires then god.

you won’t regret it. Had a blast just sitting and listening with nothing else going on.
Agreed, I think they have one of the most solid runs of any band of that era, or really any band in the last 20-30 years who has never missed on a release. Very strong ethos that runs through every record, but every record stands as its own thing. It’s also worth noting how wild it is Rostam left and they didn’t miss a beat.

Guess I’m in the minority, I honk FOTB is pretty easily their worst

I too felt this way, save for Harmony Hall it was largely a step down in quality. The Ezra and Friends album. They absolutely rebounded with this album though.
