Harmony Hall reminds me of the shins too

i know i'm hearing wilco and shins through their shared influences but still. I love these songs

 

Gotta feeling that won’t be the only call back on the album and we’re in store for something very interesting.

This was in a b side to that album though, feels a little different to me.

I hated MM (felt extremely pretentious) so I’m fine with FotB

 

2021 is sweet

Ezra somehow walks the line of pretentiousness but makes it cool

 

I love VW and part of it is its pretentiousness as @Matt well said, they know their shit

but

MM was too much even for them

 

Mitsubishi Macchiato fit that 'line between pretentious and cool' perfectly. I trust Ezra that the album itself no longer fits the MM title, but I'm nonplussed w/r/t Father of the Bride.

 

its their weakest album title for sure

 

Love these. The callback works, but I am just generally a sucker for a callback. Hoping thematically this is as tight as the last album. Also. Bring on summer. VW sounds better in summer.

 

MVOTC is maybe my favorite early morning album, especially on a rainy day
