FOTB already underrated. I would love another tour where they lean into being jam adjacent: three-hour shows, diverse setlists, improvised versions of songs, etc.
Same. Someone said "worst" album but Vampire Weekend is one of those bands that has not even come close to missing on any release. It is all just personal preference IMO. Love all of the eras.
unrelated to album debates, but of all the bands I love that I've played around my 7-month-old daughter, VW has gotten by far one of the most-positive responses. faves include "White Sky," "Ottoman," "We Belong Together," and "Harmony Hall"
Listening to this for the first time in forever and it still fucking rules. Easily my favorite of theirs.
Guessing a live vinyl pressing is going to be announced tomorrow based on their IG story today https://instagram.com/stories/vampi...e=ig_story_item_share&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
I saw the songs and was like holy shit I was at this show. Indeed, Indy 2019. I’m just not paying $42 for a partial show.
Frog on The Bass Drum Volume 2 available tomorrow https://instagram.com/stories/vampi...e=ig_story_item_share&igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng==
Anyone listen to the first one? I traditionally don't really care for live albums, but exceptions sometimes are when the live versions differ from studio versions tremendously.
it's a very fun excerpt of the 2019 tour. personally having the "Stoneflower" + the parks rec intro mixed in to "M79" on wax does enough for me.
