I mostly listen to a playlist with 5 or so of the songs axed, but this album still rules. Wouldn't fight anyone with it as their favorite album of last year or favorite VW.
I think it might be my favorite now. Idk. The only clear one that’s definitely not my favorite is the self titled. FotB, MVOtC and Contra are all basically tied, and tie goes to the one that I’ve listened to the most recently.
Modern Vampires came out the summer before senior year of high school so I’ll always have a strong attachment to that record, but I do think this one will be my number 1 soon
This is the strange case where the record that came out when I was in college and heard first (self titled) is my least favorite.
I wish I liked some of these songs more. Maybe I'll put it on today and see if anything clicks. I love the first 7 tracks.
I think the first two records are a lot tighter beginning to end. I feel like the epic and scattered vibe on this one was super intentional, but for me it has mixed results. The best 10-12 songs on here is a masterpiece.
I think this is their best album, I wouldn't cut anything from the album, it all flows really well together
I wasn’t crazy about this when it came out and that changed quickly. The only song I skip is rich man.
Campus. I can’t stand Campus. But that’s the 3 song run I’m referring to it. It’s a major speed bump for me
I love MVotC but it seems to be the one I go back to the least lately. this has jumped up to my favorite as of now. ideal spring day album.
