phish is opening their summer tour in stl and while I like but don't love phish, I'm thinking about checking a show out bc i've never seen em before. probably overdue tbh bc i've had opportunities before and haven't
Damn, they are looking and sounding GOOD live. I really need to try to see them at some point. Also, I love that Ezra is wearing that fucking VW sweatshirt!!!
Tour opener in Toronto tomorrow! V excited to finally see them, but worried we might get cancelled (forecast is calling for a storm).
I don’t have pics but they had a design with a bunch of symbols on three shirts (white t, grey t, white longsleeve), a blue shirt styled after a soccer jersey, an orange hat, new album on CD, vinyl, and cassette. There was also some shirt with Jesus or something on it, but I think that was Chicano Batman.
Indy show just finished up. They were fantastic. Totally unique set list from Toronto which is what I was wanting to see. Good for them. I’d follow them for a few shows if ya know I was younger. Did a “Pressure Drop” interpolation during “Diplomats Son” which was probably the highlight for me. Toots and the Maytals ftw.
I’ll also add that I got there a little later than I wanted (around 735) so it was pretty full already. I was pretty far back and the crowd was awful where I was. A lot of chatting during songs. Maybe get as close as you can to be by the big fans.
These set lists look great so far. Was hoping unbearably white would be one of the ones that were locked in but seems like it is also getting rotated. Definitely think I’m gonna do two nights if they keep randomizing the sets.
Vampire Weekend Cover Parks And Rec Theme, And “Pizza Party” By Request Of Bucket Hat Wearer During the encore, Vampire Weekend took requests. Koenig said the rule on this tour so far is they will take requests from anyone wearing a bucket hat. And so, when a bucket hat wearer requested “Pizza Party,” a goofy rap song from Koenig’s pre-VW band L’Homme Run, he rapped a verse a cappella. Gonna wear a bucket hat and request "Dark Star"
Saw them Saturday and they were so unbelievably good. Really elevated them for me in terms of how big of a fan I am (I was pretty casual but seem myself diving in a lot more now)
