I love Blake's Got A New Face haha even though it just sounds like a Wes Anderson movie

 

There’s a lot of very silly stuff on the debut but I enjoy it a lot, Blake’s got a new face is a fun one

 

Campus is probably my favorite of the 3. But lyrically it just does nothing for me. Bryn is fine, but it’s one of the few VW songs that just washes over me. And One is just grating, the closest thing they have to a bad song.

 

I enjoy this album but I still can't get over how bad the album art is. It looks like a music book you'd see in high school choir or something. Sorry if this has been stated already, I'm new to the thread. But goddamn, it's not good.

jumping in rn to post that I won tickets to their album release show in LA on thursday! I've never seen them before and really dig the record.

I mean, I hate to say it, but Lil Dicky just did a better cover art with the Earth on it...

I definitely agree that the album art is terrible. I was looking at the album art for their four albums earlier and it made me really wish that they had made the font larger for "Vampire Weekend" so it was a little more in line with the other three. Maybe drop the world down lower to make room and scratch "Sony Music" altogether.

I mean, I really wish they had gone with something completely different like a nice picture a la MVOTC or something, but I think those changes would have helped take the artwork for this from awful to merely just bad.

Echoing all the love for the album. Harmony Hall feels like an iconic song. Sympathy, Stranger, This Life, How Long?, just so many great songs.

 

Looks like they are on Fallon tonight and all of Haim is performing with them. I'd guess This Life?
