My favorite Saturday hobby is utilizing the Discover Weekly on Spotify and finding songs I like: then coming here and seeing what y’all had to say for albums I missed. I love this album.
I still love this. Also, this is a pretty solid gig for them? I'm not really sure who is still going to see RJA, but cool still.
I still think they draw some decent crowds. They have toured with Wolves at the Gate and A Skylit Drive before and the turnout wasn’t too bad.
Gave this album another chance and I think it's pretty great, not better than the EP in my opinion, but I like this so much more than initially did.
I definitely think this is leagues above the ep haha. not a bad song on here and it feels a lot more unique than the ep
Have to bump this because I just rediscovered this album and it's such perfect timing for it with the weather change.
And it gets me every time, oh the frailty of life And I’m trying to make sense of this new-found way When it’s all still bound to fade one day Album is still hitting me like it did the first time. Those toms when he sings "alone" before the bridge in Drowned in Living Waters
I guess that this is the price of a life lived for no one but myself So take me home wherever that is, It seems I don't know anymore I can't control this anxious fear that, I'll somehow end up all alone. Alone Sooooo good
It's the best song on the album for me. I think I said earlier in the thread that it reminds me of Sufjan's "Fourth of July" in its lyricism and its placement on the album. It feels like the statement the entire record is building toward and it breaks me.
I'm so incredibly bummed about this because I've been waiting a year for it. Hopefully we can get it one day.
Ugh, yeah that’s tough to hear. But most importantly I’m glad they’re out from under whatever stressful situation they were in. I don’t know much about Rise but considering their roster I’m surprised to see some smoke arising there.
It’s not really surprising for the type of band Valleyheart are. For your typical heavy post-hardcore band, Rise is fine, but I don’t see many bands like Valleyheart really doing well on Rise.
