Valencia – “Weight of the World”

Pretty nice little song but I’m not feeling the guitar tones, kind of distracts me the whole time.

 

Sweet, now make an album!

 

I wouldn’t even know this was a Valencia song if I didn’t already know. It’s not a bad song but the vocals, guitars and just overall style don’t sound like Valencia to me.

 

really? I agree the instrumentals are a different vibe but I can always recognize Shane's vocal style

 

I want another album from this band so badly.

 

Dig this! Honestly was never a super active Valencia listener, so I'm coming in green.

 

While I absolutely love the three LP’s, nothing they’ve released since has been even remotely worth listening to.

 

Confusing comment about not sounding like Valencia. The verses sound like This Could Be a Possibility, prechoruses like We All Need a Reason to Believe, and choruses like Dancing With a Ghost. That being said, the chorus is the weakest part of the song. Still, love me some Valencia and would love to hear an album from them and not just a "hey, we're back!" song. Some of my favorite parts from their albums came on the middle tracks.

 

This is the same way I feel. Contrast this with the recent Ludo song which sounds very much like Ludo.
