This looks pretty cool "For over 40 years Val Kilmer, one of Hollywood's most mercurial and/or misunderstood actors has been documenting his own life and craft through film and video. He has amassed thousands of hours of footage, from 16mm home movies made with his brothers, to time spent in iconic roles for blockbuster movies like Top Gun, The Doors, Tombstone, and Batman Forever. This raw, wildly original and unflinching documentary reveals a life lived to extremes and a heart-filled, sometimes hilarious look at what it means to be an artist and a complex man."
In! I have a soft spot for Val due to my love for The Doors (band and movie) and Batman Forever coming out when I was 9 and obsessed with Batman. And MacGruber, of course.
What movies do you think of when his name comes up? For me, Top Gun, Batman and Real Genius are my top 3.
I was never a huge Val Kilmer fan and think I've only seen like two of his movies, but this trailer made this look so good. Unfortunately I turned it off with only 25 minutes left. It just struck me as boring and depressing. Ultimately I hope you all enjoy it. I have a feeling if it was done by one of my favorite actors I would have invested more interest in it.
