Does anyone have this on vinyl? I got this yesterday and it sounds terribly muffled, most notably on the first track of each side.

It is definitely not my turntable, as I tried it on two separate ones (no Crosley or lp60 or the likes). So it either is a production choice or the pressing?

 

It's a bad pressing, if you contact father daughter they are repressing it and sending free copies. They told us that at the show

It has come to our attention that the vinyl manufacturing plant used the incorrect plates to make the first pressing of Infinite Worlds, one of which you are holding in your very hands. This applies to both color options: Coke-Bottle Green w/ Metallic Gold Color-in-Color & Metallic Silver. Releasing quality sounding vinyl is our priority number one so needless to say, we are extremely bummed. This in no way represents Vagabon as the incredibly talented artist that she is or us as a label.

The plant is repressing ALL of the vinyl which will be shipped to you at no cost. I'm awaiting a timeline but suspect they will ship in the next few weeks. If you have since moved since ordering your record, please reply to this thread with your new address. If you purchased Infinite Worlds with another pre-order item, your other items will ship on time with Infinite Worlds to follow.

Thanks everyone! I did not get this directly from the label though, so i guess I am stuck with my copy then. Regardless, the album still rules.

 

I would contact them regardless. They've been very professional about the whole situation.

 

So I shouldn't pick this up? I was going to go look for it today.

 

Thanks, I will. But with me being located in Europe, I don't really see them/want them eating the additional shipping costs, so I don't know.

 

Honestly, I wouldn't, it really sounds bad.

 

If you email the label they will send you a copy
I'd buy it @brandon_260 and get the second free copy

They got the whole pressing back so if you have a copy of this pressing they made a second copy for you

 

Just want to confirm that it is in fact super easy, just contact the label letting them know where you boght it along with your address and they will make the pressing plant send out a new copy to you. Thanks for your help, everyone.

This is really varied. I'm liking it. I hear a lil hop along in the vocals at times

 

makes sense being that hip hop is a super important part of black culture

also she did one of the verses in crying'a there was a door
