I've been revisiting all their albums recently, and I must have forgotten Ode 2 Summer being what it is. The first Vacationer mixtape, Paradise Mix, is exactly that... a mixtape of other artists songs and vibes, but Ode 2 Summer mixtape is all Vacationer, 12 songs to be exact. It was released between their first two albums, but I mostly forgot about it because I had assumed that it was a mixtape like the first one. There's some really good stuff on here, worth revisiting: 1.Ode2Summer (0:00) 2.Moab (3:47) 3.Vibe (5:40) 4.Lake Wynonah (7:24) 5.Eyes (9:08) 6.Mountain High (11:29) 7.Newport (13:32) 8.Woke Up (16:50) 9.Hawthorne (20:26) 10.San Joaquin (22:43) 11.Toronto (25:15) 12.Held High (27:03)
This just brought back so many memories. When it came out, it was my last year of ever having roommates and living with friends. The house was a blast, but it was pretty much a party of some sort every single night of the week. I listened to this mixtape via headphones most nights of the week to fall asleep and block out their noise... for maybe three months straight lol.
That tape is bringing back so much nostalgia haha. I would have it and other stuff like it on all the time in college while doing homework. Like my original lofi girl
It's been nice and summery here so yesterday and today I played Vacationer when walking my kid to school in the morning and he was totally vibing and bobbing his head along, I think I've got a mini-fan on my hands. He also has a Starting Line t-shirt, so he's kinda a Kenny fanboy to be honest
