the general belief around me from alot of businesses and restaurant owners is that by around 4th of july/mid july we will be mostly up and running again in terms of social activity that isnt movie theaters concerts and sporting events, of course with capacity restrictions - so i am sort of hopeful to at least get SOME summer, though it does still worry me that it might still be too soon.

 

Halloween is the best holiday not because costumes because it’s the only major holiday where you’re not societally obligated to be with family

i havent done thanksgiving with family in a few years, i do not miss it

 

Movie theaters just opened up here today lmao

we entered phase 2 today where bars nightclubs movies and stuff is opening up
(Before bars could only be open if they served food...so tons of bars were already open)

this is why I’m absolutely not having it when someone wants to blame protests for an incoming second wave
No one is going to make me feel like going out clubbing is fine and protesting for human lives is reckless
