I started looking for jobs tonight and it definitely lead me back down the path towards (tw) suicide ideation lolol

 

sorry it's such a shitty process that destroys my self worth, good luck

 

I feel like this is going to sound bad considering the state of the world/job market but it’s like really hard to find stuff that’s the level I’m at

like there’s a ton of stuff...that you only need a HS diploma for and that pays like $13/hr

or there’s stuff that’s super specific that requires not only the bachelors but years of experience in that specific nuanced field
It’s like, there’s no in between

I know there is, and I just don’t know where to look. But it’s frustrating.

 

Basically me whenever I look around. It just really fucking depresses me.

Right now practically anything so long as it’s not something extremely extremely against my morals (working at the police department for instance) lol
And like I said ideally shooting for a mid level job that requires a bachelors degree but not specialized

Right now I’m just trying to make money to move so I’m not trying to find ~ a career~ because ideally I would work for a non profit organization or something along those lines doing communication (whether that be social media or press release or internal or anything really)

 

Totally. There was an awesome job at an asl phone translation place (my mind can’t think of the right words to describe this lmao) but it was $12 an hour. I’m like dude lol

The job I was looking at didn’t require it. I know some asl but I’m not fluent enough to be an actual translator

my original plan *was* to be a translator and I could be making bank right now If I had followed through with it ha ha ha wahhh

Gotcha. There are definitely companies out there looking for social media work since I sometimes see those job postings when I’m looking for editing positions.
