Y’all ever look into your ethnic origins? I didn’t use Ancestry or anything like that just an amalgamation of things I’ve heard. Amalgamation also being a fair way to describe my white ass. Both my grandmothers are Scoth-Irish with my mom’s mom also being French and British. My moms dad is German and my dads dad was Italian, my last name is fairly Italian if you say if you it an Italian accent.

 

I'm mostly Italian, then German, and a small amount of Dutch

 

I'm Austrian Russian Hungarian and Czech but it's hard because borders are arbitrary and change

Ugh I had a heavy revelation today on the way to work and i'm not sure how to handle it. I'm not even sure what talking about it on here will do.

When my dad died I was in the worst shape of my life, a few months after he died I went to treatment and got sober. That was just over 5 years ago. I've always wondered what he left behind for me, I was told his money paid for me to go to treatment, as I had no insurance and I was always very grateful for that. But I realized that my brother got a whole lot more, he got my dads house, which he sold and moved somewhere else, he got my dads eagles season tickets which he continues to sell each year and profit off of.

I just want to ask my mom if I was on his will for anything, if there was anything left for me. I'm not going to point out how lopsided everything was but i just need to ask or else its going to eat me alive. I want to ask my mom but I don't want her to take it the wrong way.

I'm just posting this because it won't stop ruminating in my head. I have no idea why it took so long for this to hit me but it did. I guess it's because I was in such bad shape then that I understood why I didn't get much.
