like, i get it, summer economy is huge for a lot of towns on this island. my wife spends her summer has a bartender at a beach bar - thats likely not gonna happen at least until mid summer but the bar may choose to stay closed, which would force her to unemployment unless another opportunity arises, but that's not what these people mean. they mean they wanna take their stupid asses to robert moses every day and sit on the beach, and they value their convenience and lifestyle over actual health and safety of their neighbors and i wish they'd all get mowed down parading around in the street like that.

 

Oh I know what they want. Anyone that wants to go back to "normal" should be locked in a mall/college dorm and they can't leave, and the rest of us just watch what happens a la The Truman Show

This lockdown is going to devastate the shore towns in Jersey that rely on summer business, but yeah I'm not in favor of turning the area where I grew up, including where my brothers, parents, and friends still live, into the new epicenter of COVID because people from NY and North Jersey can't stay in their damn houses for one summer.
