I saw them at one of the strangest concerts of my life.

 

what was strange about it?

 

The all american rejects were playing

 

It was like one of those college-sponsored tours but instead of being in a real venue they put it in an exhibit hall that was basically a concrete airplane hanger. The concert portion only took up maybe one tenth of this massive room which made the sound terrible and the whole vibe just off. Virginia crowds are also weird in general so they set up folding chairs near the stage and no one stood up or moved them or anything. All of the bands commented on how bizarre it felt in there and AAR made the cover of the paper because they left in the middle of the set and came back shirtless wearing bras and stuff and just played the rest of it like a huge joke.
