I’m tired

 

hi tired I'm dad

 

me after working 54 hours last week

 

You ever just get like really disappointed in people you used to know

because I swear I hit ~25 and like got the biggest dose of hindsight and realized how badly I surrounded myself with losers for the last 10 years.

 

And I'm hungry

 

Yes. I used to be aquianted with a lot of shady people.

 

I'm still two episodes behind on BCS lol I need to catch up. I savor them.

 

Gonna finally finish The Leftovers, maybe go for a run before the rain starts

Saw my niece and nephew on FaceTime and it made me super happy but also sad...

 

Same. Shady shitty people. but not only that but also people who, shitty or not, just really aren’t going anywhere in life. Like having no aspirations or dreams or attempts to become better people or anything like that. Just perfectly content scraping the bottom of the barrel and I’m just like what did I see in these people? I’m not exactly what you’d call ambitious either, so the fact that I’m saying that is pretty telling to how lame these people are lol

my plans for today include do my history essay and English homework.

If I can finish those, I will reward myself with animal crossing all night.

 

Like it’s very eye opening to speak to my ex ex (the person I dated for 5 years and broke up with 4 years ago) and realize
They’re still working at goodwill making 9.60 an hour.
They don’t have internet or cable or even Netflix or anything and I know those are kinda “luxuries” but in a way they are also bare essentials. I’m like if you can’t even afford those basic things why are you working at goodwill still...?

I can’t imagine at all being 27 and making less than $10 an hour.

im not at all the type of person who judges people working low-wage jobs or tells people it’s their fault/responsibility to find something better......however when you know someone intimately and you KNOW their opportunities, what they’re capable of, etc...and you see them struggling to make even basic ends meet..you just end up being like..wtf are you doing

no but only because I've always been skeptical of people and never let them close which isn't healthy either

 

not quite the same since I’m still young-ish but occasionally I’ll be doing dumb things with friends and think to myself “at what age does this become sad?”

 

okay after two weeks the isolation thing is really starting to get to me

Edit : doing fun or dumb stuff with your friends isnt something you necessarily have to age out of just meant that if there’s NOTHING else going on that shit becomes real apparent after awhile lol

 

Like you blink and a bunch of people have their shit together but you’re not even close because you allowed yourself to believe it was normal based on the people who surrounded you

thanks. I mean I realize I’m pretty fortunate that I’ve got to spend most of it with my girlfriend so it’s not that I’m lonely or anything. I just miss Soph a lot and being able to be out and about. Also wish I still had my income from lyft because my account looks scary rn but I’m going to see about collecting unemployment from that on Monday.
