No, I agree! That’s why I like the chicken fried style for that super crunchy coating. Not that I dislike battered ones, but breaded is my favorite for onion rings and a lot of seafood.

 

Okay, good! I like battered ones too, but I hate onion rings with a batter that is reminiscent of funnel cake or something. I want thin, crunchy, a little spicy onion rings. I prefer batter on my fish, but breading on my chicken. Cast iron skillet fried chicken is still something that I need to make.
