Also, I was going to say earlier when talking about people we miss. You are regularly here but you never post anymore and I miss your posts!

 

I have to video students doing their speech performance test but a kid just ran past the camera, spanked his friend and then pulled a moony. The teacher just looked at me with dead eyes and shook his head hahaha

Nah it’s fine. Some of it wasn’t worth the time for sure and maybe my points got lost in how fights twist around, but it’s been common enough that I can’t remember them all. There are a few that stick out but I don’t know if it’s worth rehashing then again now. Stuff like what you’re talking about currently is a lot of it though. Like the argument of, “It’s not ableist/homophobic/fatphobic because actually any way of making fun of this person is fine and you’re stupid for thinking it’s not and actually want them to succeed and be elevated!”

The joke that always bothers me is also probably not getting into because I have bumped up against it in other places and always had the same level of conflict by saying anything. It sucks for sure but I’m afraid even here people would tell me I’m overreacting.
