Standalone casinos are awful. You need a town like Atlantic City or Las Vegas to make a casino trip worthwhile.

Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun aren't bad for standalone, but it's probably a 2-night trip max at either one. Each has a few restaurants and some shops, and a couple small casinos within each building, but that's about it

it seems that most of the most popular casinos across the country are in really gross places - I wonder if the Atlantic City one is the best in the nation

I went there a few years ago when I was in Philly for a wedding, and my wife was a bridesmaid, so I had most of the day to myself and needed to kill a couple hours haha

I've never been to Foxwoods or Mohegan, mostly because it would only probably take me 20 minutes more to drive to AC haha

i forget where it was but i was at a place that advertised having 'bonesless wings' and then brought me out a plate of fucking chicken tenders and when i said 'oh i ordered the boneless wings' and they said "these are them" i was aghast

Atlantic City is struggling badly. It has struggled for decades. There's a ton of money in the casinos, but the town is poor. I like the casinos, but what's cooler than the casinos are the restaurants and the people who have been there for decades. It's a really unique town, which I've grown fond of over the years.

Docks Oyster House is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere and that's where they're dining in that clip.
