Yeah you twist it on. I don't think it's a connection issue cause I saw that's a common problem and tried to raise both sides and it still didn't work. It worked very briefly when I first got it from my friend

 

Yeah pretty sure I have the same type. Theres no charging port because it has a USB plug that screws on instead of the cart, and then you plug that into a usb port/wall plug/cube
