What my job doesn't know is that being back in the office actually makes me less productive cause you're forcing me to sit here around morons during a pandemic in a windowless room with no air flow so I'm just browsing the internet forgetting I even have work to do when if I was home I'd probably be more engaged in my work cause I could move around freely when I wanted lol

They also closed our breakroom for eating (you can only use the microwave) so people have to eat in their cars or whatever, so now i'm wasting gas and AC and killing the environment sitting in my car cause it's too hot outside without it/I have black leather seats

 

"lots of fresh and valid reasons to be angsty" sounds like me trying to justify still wearing all black and band tees at 31 years old lmao

 

Has your employer also tried to make you feel like you're actually so lucky to be there and that they're doing the best they can given these very hard times™ and that you should be grateful?

 

Not our CEO but our HR person emailed me when I told everyone I was coming back that "oh we're taking great precautions to protect everyone here!" and i'm like lol nope

 

Same here, they put up signs everywhere and nobody is wearing masks but our "acting president" aka HR person who now just has complete power over everybody ran up here without a mask to complain to somebody about how the new hire and his gf who were in the lobby weren't keeping their masks on and I'm like ????????????????????????????????

 

My manager said she doesn’t think I’m ready for it because she thinks I’m super negative on myself which could affect a whole team of people.

So basically my dreams of being a supervisor are dead.

my shitty secret thinking is she is friends with someone who is applying also and everyone else considers this person a lock to get it so she probably doesn’t want me to make them reconsider.

The week preceding my WFH we were leaving all doors (except clinic rooms and restrooms) open so no one had to touch any handles, we were spacing out all employees, our check in desks had people scattered at least 6 ft+ apart, our call center which is just cubicles had everyone spaced out and/or working in different areas. 3 months later I and everyone else who was WFH are back, and literally everything is back to before, no spacing of people, doors are closed, and only plexiglass dividing the check in desks but they're like 1 foot away from each other?????????????????

the entire country seemingly unanimously just decided it was done caring about this lol it is so wild. like i posted yesterday we were literally on lockdown for nearly THREE months and in the span of like 2.5 weeks we are just blowing through phases. the fall/winter is gonna suck when this all comes back again.

Like I feel kind of bad talking about it with others around me cause they've been here the entire time and can't WFH in their position but everyone is in agreement like why are you here lol

 

I can’t stand when people tell me to be happy.

It is like we are living through a pandemic where literally no one gives a shit and on top of that the racial tensions are super high plus we have a shitty dude running the country while capitalism is destroying us all. How can I be happy? You want me to pretend or be a realist.
