I too was thrown by the Fleetwood Mac cover when I first heard it (its also a duet with his daughter which is...interesting, given the lyrical content) but after a bunch of listens to the album, I can't get it out of my head and think its a really nice cover.
Glad this is getting good feedback. Listened to the singles once or twice need to try and check this out in full.
Fun hearing the three re-recorded songs but I notice little things like the bassline on Celebration Song lacking the little flairs PK added to it.
This was fun! Magnetic is huge! Someone make a new skateboarding movie and have that song play in a competition scene like Seein’ Red was used in the movie Grind!
Surprised at how much I’m enjoying this. When i heard it was coming out I figured it would be something I’d probably check out and not come back to but this is actually a really solid album.
I keep coming back to this album more than I expected. Shaping up to be one of my favourites of the year.
What's with the Little Lies cover near the end of the album. I thought the album was over and was onto some bonus tracks or something but nope, it's part of the tracklist.
The Hum Sessions of those old songs actually sound way more refined and don't hate that they've been been re-recorded again.
Unfortunately not really feeling much of this album, pretty underwhelmed for something that I had pretty low expectations for haha
Finally listened to the album, might be my 3rd favorite album of theirs after Elva and Self Titled. Really like it front to back and the rerecorded songs sound great too. Hopefully UL won’t go another 10 plus years until their next album.
echoing the chorus (ha) of those saying this is pretty solid! Surprising, considering I had absolutely no idea they were releasing a new record.
This is AWESOME! Production value is crazy and both of these songs are just so good. Stoked they got this really cool visual to accompany the album.
This album all seems very well funded. Videos, production, etc. Don’t know how they pulled that off after a long hiatus. Good for them though. If you’re gonna believe in a record come back and try and make a splash. Hum feels like it could have been a follow up to Elva to me.
"Released on Suburban Noize Records, founded by members of straight-edge NYHC band Kottonmouth Kings, SR" That's a good one.
