I was thinking if the hallucinogens were given on a wide scale it would explain why a handful of people in an area had a ufo like experience. Don’t know if that’s more likely than aliens but given the vastness of space travel maybe. Also are people still getting abducted, like are these still stories?? Maybe the government gave everyone lsd at some point and people saw aliens and ghosts and Bigfoot and lake monsters. We need a follow up episode
i think the weirdest thing about the UFO episode is the placement in the season. feel like it should have been first or last. putting it as episode 5 of 6 when the rest are "normal" people encounters / situations seemed odd.
Honestly that would far more explain big foot and lake monsters hahah like now I’m actually on board with the theory
Thats true! I just don't remember the descriptions being detailed enough to really sway me there, but solid point Yeah that's fair. My experiences have included losing perception of time, not knowing if it's been minutes vs hours, and small gaps in memory, but not a full on black-out like you said. It's also hard to imagine what kind of mental gymnastics I would go through trying to explain such an event if I was super straight-laced, had never done any before, and had no knowledge of taking them.
Y'all have at least gotten me interested enough to rewatch that episode in particular at some point though lmao. I probably did start tuning out a bit due to it sounding pretty crazy to me so I may have missed a few details
HahahAh I mean understandably Like I said there’s deff a chance that one or two people were lying or exaggerating but I felt like there were so many!! Maybe I just want to believe
I’m always pretty cautious when it comes to believing alien or UFO related stuff, but the video they show toward the end of the episode of the unidentifiable aircraft those pilots saw is pretty fucking wild. Isn’t that the same video Tom DeLonge’s company got their hands on? That kind of thing alone is enough to convince me people have seen some shit lol
Yeah and the fact that the govt was like ya those videos of Toms were real lol I’m not positive that one was one of them but yeah that happened pretty recently. Like tiger king era of the quarantine
"Some evidence that didnt make it" HOW TF YOU LEAVE SHIT OUT? That's so cruel. And been seeing a lot of "Have there been sightings of Xavier in 2020?" links and its literally like "no, there have been no reports of sightings"
Just had a random memory of seeing a show a long time ago that scared me about a person that seemed to be the victim of spontaneous human combustion. Was there an old Unsolved Mysteries episode about that that anyone remembers?
Haha well there was a whole episode dedicated to it. I remember it and apparently it left a mark on others: Reflections on the Gnarliest 'Unsolved Mysteries' Episode of All Time
I’m going to be honest I don’t remember shit But the theme song brought it back so I’m sure if I saw some episodes again it would jog my memory tbh I mix up this, fact or fiction, and America’s most wanted for some reason lol
I used to love fact or fiction but now the thought of completely wasting half the episode on being bullshitted seems infuriating. Also they would just do a complete reenactment without even a single interview and say yep that’s fact and I’d be like oh yeah cool! Very suspect in hindsight.
I feel old because I was anxiously waiting the return of this show. I have vivid memories of it and loved it when I was younger. I have t-shirt with Robert Stack on it.
Wow, I just finished episode 4 and immediately went to read that article that someone posted a couple pages back. The comment section gave me the absolute creeps. Clearly it's been known amongst that town who killed him, and the police were just covering it up for some reason. Most of those comments were between 2012 and 2015. Hopefully now with the show just airing it sparks someone's conscience to speak up.
