Sure, it’s a horrible tragedy that they no doubt will feel responsible for forever. Seems weird to say they’re shady is all I’m saying.
why would he go out for cigarettes in a town he isn't even familiar with? didn't the one guy say they didn't even have a convenience store in that town or something? was he exaggerating? did this guy not see or hear about the scuffle his good friend got into? they talked about cigarettes but not that? say what you want but his actions were shady imo. shady doesn't mean he killed the dude, it could (and simply does in this case) just mean he's kind of a shitty dude who can't be trusted. I'd say that qualifies as shady
Oh, okay. To me, the usage of “shady” implies that he was involved in his murder, not just a general term for a shitty friend. I’d agree what he did sucked. But to answer those other questions kind of, yeah, I totally see how a young drunk kid would leave to run up the road to buy smokes. I’d say it’s fairly common for people to not think things through when they’re young and drunk, that’s all it is for me for those friends. He said he called back to a friend who was from their own town and confirmed he heard his voice in the background and the guy said he’d give him a ride. He shouldn’t have left him there in the first place but that seems like a solid “okay I’m just gonna head home” line of thinking.
My theory is the local government were covering up a murder by a kid at the party because he was the son of a cop or judge or something similar. They wouldn’t allow his family to search for a month and then his body shows up where the authorities supposedly searched already? Sure, sounds about white.
I do feel kind of weird watching shows like this though. Sometimes feels exploitative. Idk, it’s an odd feeling finding entertainment in these stories? Not sure if I’m explaining this right, haha
Regarding the last episode (6?) I’m not sure why the sisters think they’ll find a body? If their mom got rid of Gary so well and fucking tossed his ashes all over the country side why wouldn’t the same method be used for their sister? I know it’s cruel to think about, but their mom was a real monster and probably “finished things” with her the same way she did Gary, as sad as that is (can different method of murder be sadder than others?)
Yeah, I had that same thought. Probably just holding onto the smallest shred of hope she’s able to be found.
I accidentally skipped ahead to the last episode and all I could think is if Colter watches it or hears about it and is like wtf
In the second episode, i honestly didnt find the grieving husband keeping his wife’s ashes in a box to be that strange, nor the skull dancing. though if he did kill her itd be an entirely different story
Yeah the kid was the saddest part about the last episode for sure. It’s infuriating and upsetting to see someone CLEARLY get away with multiple murders AND get to raise their child. like. Ugh
Also I can’t remember if I already posted this But did this happen to anyone else? The day UM premiered Netflix was promoting it so I instantly pressed watch now or whatever and it started me on the 3rd episode?? Which threw me off bc 1 it’s in French lol and 2 I might not have even noticed if it weren’t for going to check in on TvTime
haven't watched House of Terror yet. was late and I didn't feel like reading subtitles so I just skipped ahead to No Ride Home. this is my new obsession tho so I'm gonna be sad to finish the rest of these up tbh
The first night it premiered I watched it but fell asleep. Woke up to the french episode and was so confused thought I was having a stroke or dream or something
Also still can't get over what a tool the husband in the second episode is. No idea if he was involved in her murder or not but wow his complete lack of empathy and caring for his wife's son is awful. He made it all about him and his feelings and I need him to know that he's a bad person. I'm sry u can't be so in love with ur wife and then treat her son, who she obviously loved and was close to, like that. Like I'm legit sad that this woman married this loser.
First 2 episodes down! The first one was SO frustrating because like ... I feel like we all know who caused it and did it and nothing could happen in terms of justice. The second episode was sad. Like said above, the idea of just disappearing in a matter of literally 13 minutes while at work terrifies me. Hearing the ex-husband laid out the remains & carried her skull around is so sad. Sure he was potentially a culprit, but the way people in these situations need their closure and mourn even if “creepy” is so sad.
Finally watched the no ride home one and now I’m all done For that one...It’s so upsetting and heartbreaking to see something like that get swept under the rug. And to have the KBI say there’s “no proof of a crime” like how is a dead body in the woods not indicative of some kind of crime??? obviously tons of people know stuff and it’s so upsetting that no one will come forward
Watched the first two eps last night. i'm enjoying them, though sometimes they clearly don't dig very much which kind of is frustrating.
I saw someone online mention that he had met with some Freemasons like earlier that day, which is a weird thing for the show to leave out haha
