I'm curious, did anyone else here attend Unsilent Night in Dallas last night? Full line-up below (after some acts had to unfortunately drop).

I went! I stayed mainly in the ballroom but watched a few bands in the music hall. It was an interesting mix of people in attendance. Highlights of my day were girlfriends, Charlotte Sands, grandson, and Royal and the Serpent.

I liked the audience mixture as well. good people watching! I kind of bounced between ballroom and music hall. saw a couple bands in the smaller stages too (Notions was fun, esp. for my gf who's into more hardcore music than I am).

I completely agree that Charlotte Sands was great. she overlapped with meet me @ the altar (staggered by 10 mins), and I was very glad I left. mm@ta was exactly as mediocre as I expected them to be.

Magnolia Park was also absolutely awesome live. got a selfie with the lead singer after too. super fun.

girlfriends I had seen before with grayscale and young culture, and they put on a great show again.

    nothing,nowhere was also great live.

kennyhoopla was ok live. his energy was kind of up and down during the performance. he seemed super high lol. I was sad we didn't get a backflip live.

I had intended to stay for SKSK and SWS, but honestly, at like 8:30 I was kinda tired, don't super love SKSK, and only like a couple songs from SWS. so I bounced early. but yeah, it was a great time. I really hope they keep up the annual tradition.

Totally agree about mm@ta I wasn’t feeling them so I’m glad I went to watch Charlotte.

I had my 13 year old niece with me so we only watched a few minutes of Kenny before we had to leave the room cause the weed/smoke smell got to her.

I met Charlotte and she was so sweet and said she’d be back in September. My niece met carolesdaughter and gushed about her the rest of the day.

I watched maybe 30 seconds of sws, my niece was curious about them, but we went back to finish Royal & the Serpents set and left once they were done to beat traffic.

I’ve missed unsilent night so I hope it comes back yearly like it used to. After seeing the So What lineup I have high hopes next years’ unsilent night could be amazing.

yeah the so what lineup looks sick! super cool to see smaller bands like First and Forever on there too. will definitely be checking that out at least one day and maybe all three.

carolesdaughter seemed cool, but I'm glad I watched the whole magnolia park set. they were really good. will definitely check her out later though. glad to hear charlotte is as nice in person as she seems on stage!

I only like a few of bands but was gonna go just for KennyHoopla since I snagged a comp ticket, but didn't wind up making it. How well was it attended?

Did either of you catch Shaolin G or UnityTX?

In the main room at least it didn’t seem full till KennyHoopla. I think with the 5 rooms it never seemed packed which was nice as far as being able to get around.

    I didn’t catch Shaolin G or UnityTx.
