    I was right. Prestigious

Anberlin are mostly fine, but I really can’t stand the singer’s voice

His voice was always the biggest draw to the band for me. Love most of their records.

I find his voice inoffensive but not particularly remarkable

I mean that vocal style certainly goes hand in hand with the scene in that period but his voice doesn't come to mind at all when thinking of the offenders. The dynamics of his voice worked well in companionship with the dynamics of the tracks they wrote. In very few moments did I find his presence overbearing but that's just me.

Don’t care for their albums really but they’re a good live band.

He has a very unique voice that I personally enjoy, but I can see how some people wouldn't. Same with Claudio Sanchez, though I think he's more of an acquired taste.

He's a little muppet-y so I get it, but I love his voice.

Honestly never have listened to one Anberlin album. I'll have to change that.

Cities is one of my favorite Tooth & Nail albums of that era, & Lowborn rules, too.

I think DITW,LIAP being my third fav after those two might be a somewhat unpopular opinion?

  15. I’ve liked most of the Anberlin songs that I’ve heard, but they’re just not a band I ever think about or seek to listen to on my own. Re: the vocals the guy is clearly very talented but I get how it’d rub somebody the wrong way. Kinda sounds like Kermit sometimes haha

one of the best live bands I've ever seen. hard to listen to the studio versions of friendship and cities for me

Friendship and Cities were two of my favorite records of that era. I get the Muppet-y thing, but I think Stephen has a wonderful voice.

never really got Anberlin at all, listening to Cities rn for the first time tho and there’s a lot here to love. kinda wish I’d gotten into it when it came out tho. still, cool and nostalgic in its own right. imo his voice is fine, not great not bad.

Yeah I can’t really stomach Anthony Green’s voice anymore. Was a big fan of him in high school but 10 years down the line, I find his voice thin and annoying.

Like you can like his voice but don’t act shocked that anyone dislikes it lol. It’s obviously very abrasive

Very abrasive seems like a stretch, but I get not being into it
