Didnt realize Crazy in Love and Love on Top were both from the 90s

 

This is as close to objectively incorrect as an opinion about music can be

 

masterpiece imho

 

Last DC album was after her first album (which was great, yes)

Idc about differing opinions you do you, but those 2 opinions at the same time? Very interesting

 

Crazy in Love and 03 Bonny & Clyde did a lot of damage for me. They came out at a time when I was falling out of love with that kind of hip hop/rnb and they really annoyed me for some reason haha. Nothing she's released since has really interested me and her voice has, for me anyway, got more annoying over the years.

 

Do explain...

 

Yeah like I said I love the first album and Lemonade and some stuff in between, as well as DC, but I personally never was a huge fan of her voice (although it is great fort sure)

 

Beyonce just does a lot of different interesting stuff in her more recent music IMO and is much less typical (even if it's not your cup of tea) so being like "CRJ is too boring" and then "Beyonce should go back to her more typical music" back to back is funny to me

Again like what you want I'm not trying to convince you to have a different opinion, that'd be weird. I'm not gonna die on a hill about any of it either so idk

I remember defending Lemonade in the AOTY thread that year and tons of people telling how it wasn't that good. Just copy paste that nonsense into this thread.

Never said she should go back to what she was doing before. Just that I prefer what she did as part of DC. And as I mentioned in a previous post, my issue with Beyoncé is more her voice than the music. She's worked with a lot of interesting producers and artists, but her voice will still be her voice.

 

I agree that DC's high points probably haven't been met (though it's hard to compare Lemonade to DC albums). Then again, very people few have managed that since then.

 

I've only discovered in the last month the sample for Crazy In Love. I presume most people are aware of this?
