Idk I think TMP are undeniably talented. They’re just not great songwriters they stick to their gimmick which gets really old

 

I grew up on Blink and never once made an association between Dylan and Tom, lmao, but hey, you’re gonna hear what you hear.

I don’t think they’re amazing or anything, I mean I didn’t even like them until this new album, but it’s a fun record. You won’t see it on my top ten or anything, but I’m into it.

 

how talented they are is subjective, they really arent anything special and what they have in technical ability they completely lack in style which is just as important as technical ability

When their 1st album was out, I was like eh not bad but you gotta actually develop and shit

 

Oh yea, here's my unpopular opinion.

I find the last three coheed albums to be boring as fuck

 

tiny moving parts sucks

but we need more tapping by good bands please

 

I remember arguing with my friend about the tapping on a song saosin has where they don't play the whole part live ever, don't remember what it's called but pretty sure it's on the 1st full length

 

it's so uninteresting, probably my least favorite guitar style/technique

 

I feel like horse the band had a lot of tapping despite being really keyboard heavy

 

I was bored for a few albums until Ascension/Descension and then got bored again with the last one

 

See, I didn't like those at all. For me, the last one I liked was yotb. My ex tried so hard to sell me on the last one because it's not a concept album therefore it's good lol it wasn't good at all IMO

I have friends who average like 3 coheed tattoos, I try not to hate

 

yotb fucking sucks, aftermans and color are both good

 

I hate them both

I don't really like yotb but I don't fall asleep like the other ones, nwft is really the last one I like and people hate it so

 

nwft is their second best album
