can I use this thread to settle a mini dispute with my girl? lol whats everyones opinion on Milk in tea? Obviously not all flavors are meant for that, mainly speaking on black tea in this instance. She's blown away I like milk in mine, just how my Mom made it for me growing up, grandma never puts milk in any tea. So I get both sides, but this is the second time someone acted like no one ever heard of putting milk in tea lmao. Flavored teas absolutely not, no milk. But black tea without milk? Blah.
absolutely, it's not really a big thing she's playfully chop busting but i mean.... who doesn't like to prove their girl wrong sometimes? lol.
I grew up thinking I hated tea because my grandma puts milk in hers, but no, just hate milky tea blah.
even within the realm of milk in tea theres the ratio thing lol. my mom always didnt put enough growing up, my ex use to make it basically all milk, both ways I was the one in the middle like "What are yall doing?" lmao
I mentioned to my girl my family having some english roots as well and she was like 'What's that matter." It matters everything, that's like not understanding why I love penne ala vodka while knowing I'm Italian. Like you know these things, hun. We spend time joking (since it's an interracial relationship we love a mutual mocking of the whole "HURR you're so different on the surface" mentality) on each other cus of our "typical" things like that lol. My personal favorite personal jab from her to me was her seeming bewildered that "I'm Italian and hadnt watched Scarface all the way through, isn't he your God?" and I was like 1) im just not a movie person and 2) tony montana was cuban so.... lmao (granted the real scarface wasnt but still.) Actually that gives me an opinion thing it shouldnt be unpopular at all but Goodfellas >> for mob movies.
I always put a little milk in my hot tea. It's usually some boring Lipton stuff though so it's not like I'm ruining some pristine flavor.
