It got real bad when episodes stopped focusing on events happening mainly within the town of South Park and more on world events and popular trends. I mean they always had the commentary, but it rarely were the stories formed entirely around real-time, actual events. Plus the whole "six days to air" thing is stupid and has undoubtedly contributed to the decline in quality.
Yeah, the mid-2000s was their peak pretty much specifically because they didn't let the satire overshadow the absurdity of it all. Nobody was ever shocked by it because of what they were saying, it was the way they would say it.
i knew a kid in high school who could tell you the title of every south park episode if you gave him a brief description of the episode
I used to be able to do that with How I Met Your Mother when there was only 4 seasons. Too bad everything after that was garbage.
I can do that with Friends episodes pretty well but they also make it extremely easy with their titles so it's not impressive whatsoever.
I don't think I could do titles but if you're mention a quote or a scene I could probably do it for some shows
Never understood the appeal of dipping a slice of pizza into ranch dressing as well (haven't tried it either but ehhh)
