I'm fairly certain that time does not necessarily operate in a straight line. Meaning, I think point A in time and point B in time or more or less stacked on top of each other and happening simultaneously rather than going from A----->B. I have no proof or reasoning for this but it makes sense to me. I was trying to explain this to a friend the other day and I looked it up and apparently it's a very real theory that Einstein considered so.....am I a genius? Maybe, who knows.

Sort of? Not exactly. More like, the you from two years ago is existing and experiencing 2014 for the first time. It's not an alternate timeline, everything is the same with the same outcome. Like the you from right now looks at December 13, 2014 as the past, but it's all perspective. The you from December 13, 2014 is experiencing it as the present.

Rick & Morty is teaching me everything I need to know about time atm lol. Starting watching this past weekend!

Last episode I saw was 'Auto Erotic Assimilation' last night and the ending made me very sad, so much so i think I have a sadness hangover today. S/o 2 this thread for actually prompting me to start watching this brilliant, brilliant show

The Ring is great. Not ironically or nostalgically, it's a great movie

 

Saw that ep last night too!!! My brother is a superfan of this show and says all the time splitting/jumping and the Rick & Morty's from the other dimensions are all part of a bigger overall story arc, and that you aren't sure whether your watching the "original" Rick & Morty or something like that?
I also panicked that they didn't get the right Jerry back from the daycare in that one ep!

 

yeah there are theories that they dont have the right jerry, that we're watching different realities in various episodes etc

 

The most important part of those theories is them potentially being in a universe where Andy Daly's character didn't die after only two minutes of screen time.
