I never had any interest in watching Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Sopranos or The Wire Not really into drama
I don't think any show comes close to the literary density of the two shows in this top tier and it really hasn't even been attempted on than maybe Mad Men
I generally agree with this. I think there's aspects of Breaking Bad which make it close, but Mad Men's just a bit better. I don't have a problem with people who rank one over the other. They're 3 & 4 for me in terms of dramas.
I have trash taste in media. I was watching this teen novela that I thought would be about ghosts but the plot twist was that actually there's a secret organization of nazis killing people off and doing experiments on people. at least the show criticized the nazis and they were the evil villains. can't say the same for the news rn!!
News networks are about sensationalism/-insert emotion, usually fear- mongering first, personal allegiances spin second, and then everything else after that.
I don't have a convenient way to watch Game of Thrones so I have no interest in trying. There's plenty other stuff to watch that I don't have to pay extra for or go out of my way to find I do need to see The Wire and Mr. Show though, otherwise I'm not worried about HBO
HBO has produced, at the very least, 5 of the most important/influential/best shows of all time. The quality of the shows currently airing on the network cannot even come close to what came before.
Divorce, Silicon Valley, Vice Principals and Insecure are all good, Last Week Tonight too but that's different, I think that's all I watch on HBO, I should watch Veep I know
