I like my accent (very neutral American, Florida accent) and Im at peace with the tone / sound of my voice itself, but the WAY i talk is so dorky

I just need to chill out and slow down haha

 

I dont really like my voice played back to me either, and I'm really curious if other people hear it the same way I do.

I absolutely love my laugh though. People always tell me I have a great laugh. I hope I dont sound too arrogant haha

 

my accent is basically so cal mixed w hints of french canadian probably thats why it sounds weird af to east coast ppl lmao

 

I don’t think I have an accent being from NH but if I’m with my friends and I have a little to drink I’ve been known to slip into a bit of a Philly accent. I’ll chalk it up to going to college outside of Philly and having a lot of family from that area. I’ve also been told my laugh sometimes sounds like Seth Rogen haha.

 

I sort of have a higher voice for a Man and I’m really happy about that tbh. My relationship to masculinity is weird and I personally wouldn’t want to have a lower voice

 

My daughter gets mad at me for how I say potato salad

We should all upload clips of us reading monologues so we can rank chorus user's voices. Maybe get a good old fashioned bracket going.

I always have to listen to my podcast after my buddy edits it and it's hard not to cringe. I do like my voice in general though.

 

How does everyone say milk

For me it's a pretty hard "melk"

I had a friend say "set" instead of "sit" which was a mindbender for me.

 

Maybe they pronounce it "sell-k"

 

After the day I had, I just really need to get this off my chest:

I don’t dislike dogs but for the most part, they’re just okay to me. I do love cats though.

 

I've got one of each, more of a dog guy though

 

The idea of disliking dogs or cats is so alien to me

 

One thing though, I don't particularly care about videos or photos of other people's cats

 

Yeah, I’m somewhere along that path too, regarding the photos. Definitely not anti pet photo, but have had to mute/unfollow a few people for grossly oversharing haha. Kelly we don’t need to see a photo of your dog begging for food for the literal 10th time this week, we get it, he has different colored eyes!!

 

I'm not a huge animal person tbh. People act like I'm a serial killer sometimes lol
