not sure if this is unpopular or not (don't care either way) but the new Star Wars sucks quite a bit. first 90 minutes are pretty awful and uninteresting. "you feel the force with your feelings!" made me laugh, as did The Handmaid's Tale caretakers not sure what was up with Luke drinking the green breastmilk of that seacow giraffe thing. that was disturbing.
I can’t stand the taste of any alcohol and most the time my body tries to physically reject it from entering my throat
don't get me wrong, I like the idea of beer. coming home after a long day of hard work and cracking open a cold one sounds amazing, until I realize that I don't like the taste of most beers lol. I do like Guiness Draught and a few other rando beers and I'll contest that most beer tastes better in the shower (even PBR and Rainier). however, in the typical trend of un-ironically liking at least shitty beer, I had a Montucky Cold Snack this past weekend and it was glorious swill. Best water I've ever had. I only ordered one because the can looked awesome lol
I do find it interesting, however, how wine-drunk is usually quite a different thing than being drunk from any other type of alcohol.
I don’t think San Junipero is as good as everyone says it is. I also think Black Mirror is overrated. It’s good and I watch it, but the craze kinda kills it for me. True Blood and Weeds are other shows that come to mind where it seemed like the audience helped ruin the show.
I really liked the first four seasons, and then it took a nosedive and just got fucking awful.. Same with Dexter lol, one of my favorite shows, then they fucked it up after season 4. Oh Showtime...
Black Mirror, more than being bad or good, is wildly uneven. at its best, the show illustrates some pretty interesting interactions between humans and technology (shut up and dance, san junipero, entire history of you). others are good but overlong (be right back, national anthem, waldo moment), i didnt find compelling (white bear, 15 million merits, white christmas) or just phone it the fuck in (the entirety of season 3 except SUAD and san junipero). i think the 90 minute runtime, commitment to a bleak eventual twist, and need to define itself around tech rather than as just a modern day Twilight Zone that runs with some tech ideas and some other concepts as well. understanding technology's evolution to today basically requires not just locking yourself into a tunnel vision approach, instead engaging in all the myriad structures that lead to technological evolution and by extension examining that evolution.
I know these are supposed to be unpopular opinions, but I can’t believe you didn’t like White Christmas
It's been a while, but I think my complaint was the marriage of the two story threads (solitary confinement and Jon hamm/other guy conversing) took too long and wasn't really engaging. I liked both elements well enough, but together they were pretty predictable and dull.
Arrowhead is the worst. Dasani is ok. Smart Water is better. I think I’m talking to a bot. Also im a dog so I’ll drink dirt water
