Two towers is my fave. Fellowship probably my least fave oop

 

Two Towers>Fellowship>Return of the King but I adore all three

 

My unpopular opinion is that I've never seen a full LOTR movie

 

I've somehow seen them all (I think I saw the last two in theaters?) but don't remember a single thing about them.

 

Two Towers and Fellowship constantly fight for my favorite, but Return is still an amazing movie but I just like the other two more

Most of my friends think these movies are boring and I just do not understand. Like, at all. These movies are so exciting!!!

 

Hunger games is my favorite "trilogy"/series of the 21st century. Hands down

 

John Wick obviously

 

Other than LOTR, John Wick or Apes

edit: wait probably Nolan's Batman trilogy. I like TDKR.

 

It's mind boggling to me the amount of people I know who are obsessed with Harry Potter and couldn't believe I hadn't read the books/watched the movies for the longest time (I've since remedied that) but when I bring up LOTR they either say something like "lol why would I ever read/watch those?" or just sort of go cross eyed when I try to explain that since they dig Harry Potter they might also dig LOTR.

 

Linklater's Before trilogy rules and each entry might be better than the last. Also Indiana Jones.

 

If we're talking best trilogy of all time, then ya the Before Trilogy might be mine.

 

Indiana Jones only has two good movies though

 

Before Trilogy started in the 90s. I was only counting post-2000

 

i’ve been saying the before trilogy is the only one where i can honestly say each film is among the best i’ve ever seen

 

That and The Human Condition. Before is still my fav though for sure.

 

probably the best ya novel movie series I can think of

 

I’d place “How To Train You Dragon” with “Apes” for the best post-2000s trilogy.

Yeah too long without a Jackass mention. It and the Before trilogy are the ones I could put any of them on and get instantly wrapped up in them.

 

first three bournes were pretty elite before they lost the plot

 

yeah i was thinking about those bournes too. last one, to put it mildly, showed how badly they needed the ludlum novels to draw from
