But it did to a ton of people. I can't wait to see if the show keeps it up or if it putters out/ends suddenly. I'd love in 5 years for this to still be on and be one of the greats. This is unpopular opinions though, so I'll quit taking about how amazing Rick and Morty is
Agreed. Comedy is the most subjective I think out of any genre. Also, who are the important people and what makes them important?
Animated or not, there's only one sitcom that, for me, not only had the rapid-fire joke delivery of the Simpsons, but also was as consistently hilarious in its prime, and that is 30 Rock.
i hated Inherent Vice and although I'm sure i'd like it more the 2nd time.....i have no desire to do so. boom.
First three seasons are brilliant television from start to finish but there is a significant drop off after season four. Not a How I Met Your Mother level drop off where they just literally stop being funny, but it got more exhausting to get through and less consistent.
I think BoJack is the best just overall show right now. The jokes are so layered I'm still catching things I missed every other time, I'm currently watching Escape From LA and I just caught the song the DJ is playing at prom as an example, and the drama hits so hard. For being a cartoon about talking animals it's probably the most authentically human show I've ever seen.
Maybe one day. It has been around for so long that it feels like a tremendous task to start it. It would not be until 2017 at the earliest.
Her is a great trailer. That is about all. John from Cincinnati is one of the masterpieces of television and would have been far more successful if it had come out in this streaming era. It is the rare show that dares to leave interpretations and questions to the audience, and people were angry about that. Premiering right after the last episode of the Sopranos did it no favors.
I still have to finish The Night Of, have a few 90's films saved on my computer, and need to start getting through 2016 films. If you think it is worth it I will try it again. Is there a "golden age" like the Simpsons? I saw the abortion episode and it was awful.
I think Devito joining the cast is when it picks up, athough I like the first season. You don't really need to finish The Night Of
The Night of has been fine so far but it relies way too much on the stereotypes of the genre. The eccentric lawyer with a heart of gold is wearing thin.
The last two episodes have scenes that are some of the worst in recent history. Johnny T is dope though, and the dialogue remains on point throughout
