I spent about 11K on all the equipment because my plan was to make an album but I just practice Strokes songs.
Mostly it is because everything is used to write was bad. I ripped off The Hives in high school, and then I ripped off The Smashing Pumpkins in college and then I started ripping off Bob Dylan. I also don't have anything interesting to say lyrically.
I dont make important art and I hate writing lyrcis but my brain makes me feel bad if I dont create things
The only thing I am really proud of is a bass line for a song I wrote back in 2005. It is nothing complex but the chorus has a really relaxing IV-V-I progression that made it our most popular song.
Try ripping off multiple things at the same time. If you steal from more than one source, it automatically becomes a little more interesting.
If I am watching a movie at home or at a friend's house, I do not want all the lights turned out like it's a theater.
Absolutely not, and if you tell people that I will sue you. I actually love the dark and it's probably my favorite amount of light.
My co-workers are always confused why I keep all my lights off. It keeps a lot of people from unwanted visits, though.
I hate that time when the sun is still out, but it's getting dark in your house so you have to turn a light on and inside light and outside light have to coexist at the same time. Skeeves me out.
I have two table lamps and two standing lamps in my room, it's the brightest spot in the house without natural light.
