Are we still talking about movies or? Also, I've been to too many concerts with seating where I end up having to stand anyway because everyone else is, so I'm going to say what you're wishing for won't matter.
It was a concert. It was the first concert I have been to in a long time so I forgot that when they say the music starts at 8 it really means 8:30 and the singer I was there to see was second anyway. I can't really stand very long so someone eventually let me sit on their amp.
Cool teachers worked on me because I was afraid to disappoint them more. Nothing hurt like Stoltenberg passing me back a test and being like “come on buddy I know you can do better than this”
Teachers that won't enforce basic school policy make it harder on every teacher that does. We had cell phones under control for two months until the "cool teachers" gave up.
If that’s what we’re defining as “cool teachers” then yeah. A teacher who primarily wants to be friends with the kids and liked by them, and doesn’t do their job well, isn’t good for anyone. It’s certainly possible and good to work with kids and have an authentic “coolness” or good vibes or whatever, though, while also having appropriate boundaries and standards.
It depends on the policy. There are teachers that chase kids down the hallways because their shirts are untucked or they see an outline of a phone in their pockets. That’s ridiculous, they just want to be a cop.
My elementary school band teacher would give us candy that was banned from the school. Now I see him out at time I’m at a bar in the area.
